Australian Capital Territory Baby Names 2017

Access Canberra  has released baby names data for 2017 for Australian Capital Territory in Australia. Data is available for the ten most popular female and male names.

Female Names

For the third year in a row Charlotte is the most popular girls’ name. Olivia is a new entry in the top ten in second place. Chloe and Sophia are in joint third. Amelia drops four places to joint fifth with Isla and Ivy. Ava (down five places), Grace (down four places) and Mia (down three places) are joint eighth.

Male Names

Oliver climbs two places to be the most popular boy’s name in 2017. William falls to second place. Henry is a new entry in the top ten in joint third with James, who climbs five places. Jack is in joint fifth with new entries Noah and Samuel. Alexander is in joint eighth with Charlie. Lachlan (down eight places), Leo (down three places) and Thomas (down six places) are in joint tenth.
