Charlotte moves up one place to be the most popular girls’ name in 2017. Harper moves up two places to second. Isla stays in third place and last year’s number one Olivia drops to fourth. Ava moves up five places to fifth and Amelia remains in sixth. Mia climbs one place to seventh. Mila is a new entry in the top ten, moving up seven places to eighth. Sophie stays in ninth and Emily drops three places to tenth. Ella drops out of the top ten, falling six places to eleventh.
New entries in the top 100 names are Addison (56th), Sadie (64th), Luna (71st), Keira (76th), Amaia (87th), Annabelle (88th), Maya (91st), Arabella (94th), Clara (joint 96th), Madeline (joint 96th) and Skylar (joint 96th).
The top two boys’ names are unchanged, with Oliver in first place and Jack in second. Noah moves up four places to third and William drops one place to fourth. Hunter climbs one place to fifth, changing places with James who drops to sixth. George is a new entry in the top ten, moving up five places to seventh. Mason falls four places to eighth and Lucas drops one place to ninth. Arlo is another new entry in the top ten, climbing thirteen places to tenth. Leo and Max drop out of the top ten.
