Northern Territory Baby Names 2017

The Northern Territory Government  has released baby names data for 2017 for Northern Territory in Australia. Data is available for the 20 most popular female and male names.

Female Names

For the fifth year in a row Charlotte is the most popular girls’ name. Olivia moves up three places to second. Ava is in joint third place with Isabella, who climbs six places. Grace remains in fifth. Amelia, Mia and Ruby are in joint sixth. Lily is a new entry on the chart, in joint ninth with Sophie. Ella drops out of the top ten.

Other new entries on the chart are Evelyn (joint 11th), Jasmine (joint 13th), Zoe (joint 13th), Eva (joint 16th), Georgia (joint 16th), Lucy (joint 16th) and Sophia (joint 16th).

Male Names

Jack is the most popular boys’ name. Mason climbs nine places to second place. Oliver stays in third and Noah drops two places to fourth. James remains in fifth ahead of William, who moves up one place to sixth. Logan, Lucas and Thomas are new entries on the chart in joint seventh. Elijah climbs one place to tenth. Jacob and Max drop out of the top ten.

Other new entries on the chart are Henry (joint 12th), Hudson (joint 12th), Isaac (joint 12th), Samuel (joint 12th), Benjamin (joint 16th) and Leo (joint 16th).
