Other U.S. Territories Baby Names 2018

The Social Security Administration  has released baby names data for 2018 for Other U.S. Territories (total of American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and U.S. Virgin Islands). Data is available for male and female names with a count of five or more.

Female Names

Olivia and Sophia are the joint most popular girls’ names in 2018. Olivia was also the most popular name in 2017, and Sophia moves up two places. Isabella and Mia are in joint third place, both moving up five places. Angela is a new entry on the chart in fifth. Emily is joint sixth with new entry Iris. Faith is also a new entry in eighth. Amelia climbs two places to joint ninth, with Amy (down seven places), Aria (up eight places), Luna (up 13 places) and Sarah (up two places).

Male Names

Lucas climbs five places and William moves up three places to be the joint most popular boys’ names in 2018. Aiden climbs 18 places to third. Daniel drops one place to fourth and Kevin falls three places to fifth. David is a new entry in the top ten, moving up 11 places to sixth. Michael drops two places to seventh. Evan is a new entry on the chart in eighth place. There are six names in joint ninth: Elijah (up 12 places), Eric (new entry), Jason (up eight places), Jayden (up two places), Liam (down one place) and Ryan (up 29 places).
