Charlotte is the most popular girls’ name in 2018 for the fourth year in a row. Ava moves up one place to second, and Isla climbs three places to third. Olivia drops two places to fourth, Amelia falls to fifth, and Mia drops one place to sixth. Harper stays in seventh. Willow is a new entry in the top ten, moving up four places to eighth. Grace falls one place to ninth, and Evelyn remains in tenth. Ivy drops out of the top ten, falling eight places to seventeenth.
New entries in the top 100 names include Adeline (70th), Olive (80th), Anna (84th), Bonnie (90th), Sarah (91st), Clara (joint 97th), Delilah (joint 97th), Elena (joint 100th), Maggie (joint 100th) and Nevaeh (joint 100th).
Oliver has been the most popular boy’s name since 2013 and tops the chart again in 2018. William has also been in second place since 2013 and its position remains unchanged. Jack moves up one place to third, changing places with Noah who drops to fourth. Henry climbs five places to fifth. Harrison and Thomas both drop a place, with Harrison in sixth and Thomas in seventh. Leo jumps twelve places to eighth, Archer also climbs twelve places to ninth, and Theodore moves up fifteen places to tenth. Hunter, Hudson and James drop out of the top ten.
